CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

For Paper 1 (Primary Teacher: Class 1–5)

  • Must have passed 12th (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
  • Must have completed either:
    • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR
    • 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

For Paper 2 (Upper Primary Teacher: Class 6–8)

  • Must have passed 12th and hold one of the following:
    • 4-year BA-B.Ed./B.Sc.-B.Ed./B.El.Ed./ITEP, OR
    • Bachelor’s degree + 2-year D.El.Ed., B.Ed., or 3-year B.Ed.-M.Ed.
